Royal Wedding
Here at Seasoned we definitely have Royal Wedding fever and have been excitedly debating what we think the Royal couple will do for their big day. It has been reported in the news that they are staying away from the traditional three-course seated wedding breakfast and instead opting for a canapé and bowl food menu for their 600 guests. Whilst some of the older guests may not be excited by the thought of this, bowl food and canapés are a more fashionable option which reflects this modern couple’s relaxed personalities. It also removes one of the most stressful parts of organising a wedding – the seating plan!
If Seasoned were lucky enough to be the chosen wedding caterers for the Royal wedding then we would suggest the below menu for this special occasion.
Canapés:
Ginger tuna tartare on compressed cucumber & a nori flake sprinkle
Truffled mascarpone with asparagus & baked Parmesan on brioche
Sweet potato skinny fry bunch wrapped in fillet steak with béarnaise dipping sauce
Scallop pop with pancetta
Quail’s egg Florentine with spinach & Hollandaise on muffin
Bowl food:
Tea smoked duck with Asian slaw & black quinoa crumble
Sea bass ceviche with red onion, mango, lime & coriander leaves with plantain chips
Grilled peaches & bresaola with goats’ cheese curd
Harissa crusted salmon with quinoa & baked peppery tomato salad & salsa verde dressing
Basil marinated Halloumi with a heritage tomato & red basil salad
Elderflower tea cups with elderflower & gooseberry cream & lime dusted meringue kisses
