Best rooftop bars to check out this summer
With summer fast approaching, we here at Seasoned love to spend the weekend with a tipple high above the ground, in a venue overlooking the London skyline. As London caterers, we love checking out the best rooftop bars, and have put together a list of our favourite outdoor spots for you to drink the summer away in.
Queen of Hoxton – This bar, nightclub, roof terrace, performance space and art gallery is a staple of the East End’s cultural fabric, complete with a delicious off the grill menu and inventive cocktail list.
Dalston Roof Park – Nestled amongst Hackney’s Victorian buildings and overlooking London’s skyscrapers, Dalston’s only rooftop garden gives customers an opportunity to relax, eat, drink, dance and view the London landscape in a very different way. Framed by the City skyline, this rooftop oasis transforms what was once a forgotten space into a traditional English garden, plushly turfed and brimming with herbs, hops and flowers to be put to good use in this year’s food and drink offerings.
Vista, Trafalgar Square – Nestled on the south west corner of Trafalgar Square, the open air rooftop bar offers panoramic views from Horse Guards Parade to the Royal Opera House; the perfect backdrop for every occasion.
Roof East, Stratford – This bar is hugely popular and boasts an outdoor cinema and mini golf, as well as the only aquaponics urban farm in London – The Grow Up Box. Regular events and activities will take place on the rooftop with something for everyone, from morning exercise classes to acoustic sessions, disco nights and art shows.
Frank’s Cafe, Peckham – Part of Peckham’s Bold Tendencies Sculpture Project, this pop-up bar is based in a multi-storey car park and showcases the work of international artists.
