How can clients help themselves to get the best rates?

Use their event time wisely. Think carefully about the type of event, the format and the time actually required in the venue.

 

What are the best things that you have seen done in the space?

The house was recently turned into a lavish 1920s speakeasy, complete with bespoke dance floor and golden palm trees! It was absolutely spectacular.

 

What would you love to see done?

A catwalk fashion show – the Great Hall would be perfect for showing off some fabulous clothes.

 

What’s the best way that someone can sell the venue to their boss?

Bring the boss/key decision-maker to the site visit. Once they’ve seen the venue, it’s very hard to resist it’s opulent yet intimate feel.

 

What do you wish people would consider before arriving for a site visit?

Have a clear idea of the aims and details of the event, so that they can really visualise it in the spaces. Also know about any special requests in advance, and understand the criteria for selecting the event space (cost factors, locations, facilities etc).
