The Seasoned hotseat: Leeanne Beton

Faourite London restaurant.

There are so many to choose from but I love my local pub the Old Packhorse in Chiswick which serves delicious Thai food. I am there almost every week!

What do you enjoy cooking?

Cooking isn’t my favourite activity, but I do make a mean risotto!

What don’t people know about you? What is your hidden talent?

I trained as a gymnast from the age of 4 to 15 and competed internationally for Great Britain. Most of the skills have left me but I’m sure I could pull off a back flip if I tried!

Who would you invite to try your signature dish? (Can be anyone!)

My friends and family as they are the best company.

Gordon Ramsey or Jamie Oliver? (Who’s your favourite and why?)

I admire both, but I like Jamie’s ideas for healthier eating in the industry and I feel his style is laid back and approachable.

What do you like most about working in events?

Every day is different. We deal with so many different clients and venues that no two days are the same; there is always something new and exciting happening.

Favourite venue?

The Natural History Museum – it is such an iconic venue and they have a fantastic on-site team who are great to work with.

What three things can’t you live without?

Holidays, family/friends and wine!

Most adventurous experience?

I recently went to Thailand and visited an elephant sanctuary where I had the opportunity to feed and walk with them which was amazing!

Mexican vs. Italian and why?

Italian because it is such good comfort food. I love pizza and pasta.

If you could travel anywhere, what would be your dream destination?

Hawaii. Hopefully I will be going there on my honeymoon this year.
