Seasoned caters for the Addie Brady Foundation
Leading London event caterer, Seasoned, exclusively catered for the Addie Brady Foundation at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green on Thursday 8th November 2018.
The Addie Brady Foundation was established by Michelle Brady in memory of her daughter, who tragically passed away at the tender age of 16, losing her battle to brain cancer earlier this year.
The auction and roundtable dinner was held to raise funds in Addie’s name, to aid further research into high grade brain tumours and better treatments for brain cancer.
Seasoned catered for 200 guests at the Museum, holding a drinks reception in the lobby, followed by a three-course dinner. Menu options included a slow braised feather blade of beef or creamed lee and mushroom mille-feuille for mains, followed up with exquisite desserts including a vegan and gluten-free carpaccio of chilli pineapple with raspberry sorbet. The charity auction and speeches commenced after food and an after dinner bar was available to end the night.
The Foundation works with the Brain Tumour Charity and also with The George Pantziarka TP53 Trust, which is dedicated to supporting families with LFS (Li-Fraumeni Syndrome), an inherited familial predisposition. They are currently focused on working towards implementing a national surveillance and screening program, urging for additional research in to LFS and other genetic cancer predispositions.
Addie’s mother, Michelle Brady, said “Addie was beautiful, loving and funny. She died as she had lived – never complaining or acting as a victim and always seeing the positives in life. In her short life she experienced many things and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was an extraordinary young girl, with a big, strong heart and an even bigger smile. We hope Addie’s lion heart legacy will live on, helping and supporting others in the fight against cancer.”
Managing Partner at Seasoned, Colin Sayers, said “Addie’s story has touched all of our hearts and we are truly proud to have been part of an event with such a special purpose and significance. We wanted to make this a memorable occasion for Michelle and everyone who attended and hope the Addie Brady Foundation receives the utmost ongoing support to achieve more than they ever imagined. The work they are involved in is necessary and could be crucial to help other families in future who are impacted.”
