But what makes St. Paul’s so important to this city? What history does it carry?
There are a number of fantastic spaces to host your event in at St. Paul’s and we love working in each of them. It is a fantastic venue to hold evening receptions and dinners; here is some information on each of its main event spaces so you can see why.
The Crypt – St. Paul’s Cathedral have the largest crypt in Europe and what a beautiful space it is. It can accommodate up to 350 guests for a standing reception and 250 for a seated dinner. The beautiful surroundings are the final resting place of some of the nation’s greatest heroes, poets and scientists, including Sir Christopher Wren, Admiral Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington, making the Crypt a truly different and historic events space.
Wren Suite – One of the smaller spaces at St. Paul’s with a capacity of 60 for a seated dinner and 100 for a reception. This intimate venue contains some of the oldest and most stunning architectural features in St. Paul’s Cathedral. The Wren Suite offers the wow factor of St. Paul’s combined with the comfort and convenience of modern facilities.
Nelson Chamber – The Nelson Chamber, which is located in the Crypt, can be hired for standing receptions of up to 250 guests in the evening.
The round space is centered around the tomb of Admiral Lord Nelson, which is the focal point of the Chamber. With a detailed tiled mosaic floor and atmospheric vaulted ceiling, the Nelson Chamber is an elegant space in which to hold a drinks reception for up to 250 guests.
