Whilst there may be whispers that January could be a quiet month in the London events catering industry, this rarely seems to be true! January has become a peak month for large conferences and we have had the pleasure of hosting a really spectacular one this year.
Sweden’s best known company hosted a daytime event in the Old Truman Brewery based in the incredibly trendy area of Shoreditch. The venue is a versatile urban blank canvas and our client hired all of the T block so there was plenty of space for creative ingenuity! With the help of our fantastic sister company, The Event Hire Company, we created two bright and colourful chill out areas for the guests to enjoy using a collection of beanbags, oil drums and stools in a plethora of colours, alongside pallet coffee tables which really complemented the space.
As creative event caterers we needed to design the most effective solution to feed 900 hungry delegates in one hour over lunch. The client wanted to ensure guests’ appetites were fulfilled by using healthy and sustainable ingredients, so what better than a wholesome superfood box? We served a choice of two in Kraft boxes which went down a real treat.
After the two day conference guests were ready to let their hair down and the party really started at Pulse Bankside Vaults. The venue is definitely in-keeping with the urban theme and looked amazing with the on-site lighting. The guests enjoyed great entertainment in the form of a performance from Sweden’s Pop Idol winner and a great comedy act (well, I couldn’t actually understand it as I don’t speak the lingo but the roars of laughter in the room would suggest it was a huge success). We served contemporary bowl food choices for the guests to devour whilst enjoying a tipple from the venue.
